Maria Great’s story begins on a beautiful Finnish farm, where she grew up surrounded by love, simplicity, and the wonders of nature. Her childhood was filled with warmth, joy, and the grounding values that have carried her through every season of life.

Thirty years ago, Maria gave her life to Christ, and since then God’s grace has carried her through both valleys and mountaintops. She became the mother of four wonderful children and is now a proud grandmother of five.

For ten years, Maria lived in a toxic, narcissistic marriage. Those years felt like a prison, yet they also became a classroom of resilience. During that time she traveled extensively and spent several years living in the United Kingdom, where life in England – especially in the town of Epping – left a lasting imprint on her heart. Britain, with its deep literary heritage, became more than a place; it became a source of inspiration. Though she is Finnish by birth, her soul resonates with the rich world of British literature and culture.

In the silence of that difficult marriage, Maria discovered art and writing. It was her hidden voice, a lifeline when she was silenced, and eventually it grew into a living voice she now shares with readers. Writing, once born out of survival, has become her greatest blessing – a channel of grace, creativity, and healing.

Through God’s unfailing love and the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit, Maria has been renewed and continually inspired with fresh insights. Many of her books are already published, while others wait for their right time in God’s perfect plan. Her calling as an author is to reveal the deeper truth: nothing is wasted in God’s hands. Even pain can be redeemed into wisdom, beauty, and grace.
